My Priorities in Action

Here's How I'll Work for You

These priorities are shaped by listening to neighbors, paying attention to what actually works, and staying focused on how county decisions affect people’s daily lives.

My Approach to Leadership

I believe effective leadership starts with listening and learning. Serving on the County Board means understanding complex systems and considering how decisions affect real people.

Here’s How I’d Put This Into Action

  • Taking time to fully understand an issue before voting
  • Asking thoughtful, clarifying questions of staff and community members
  • Being open to new information and willing to change course when needed
  • Treating public service as a responsibility, not a platform

Responsible, Transparent Government

County government has a responsibility to use public resources wisely and make decisions openly.

I will support careful budgeting, ask clear questions about how funds are used, and value transparency, accountability, and responsible oversight.

Here’s How I’d Put This Into Action

  • Reviewing budgets with an eye toward long-term sustainability, not just short-term fixes
  • Asking who benefits from a proposal and who may be affected
  • Expecting clear explanations for spending decisions
  • Supporting processes that make county information accessible to the public.

Community Well-Being and Safety

Keeping people safe means more than responding to emergencies. It means investing in prevention, stability, and well-being so fewer people reach a crisis point.

Here’s How I’d Put This Into Action

  • Looking at safety issues through a prevention and public health lens
  • Supporting programs that reduce harm and address issues early
  • Asking whether policies build trust between the county and the people it serves
  • Using data, outcomes, and community input to guide safety-related decisions

Housing Stability and Basic Needs

Stable housing is foundational to a healthy community.

County decisions affect housing access, homelessness prevention, and the systems people rely on during times of instability.

Here’s How I’d Put This Into Action

  • Supporting collaborative efforts between the county, municipalities, and community organizations
  • Viewing housing stability as connected to health, safety, and economic well-being
  • Asking how county policies impact people at different income levels
  • Prioritizing practical, realistic solutions over one-size-fits-all approaches

A County That Works for Everyone

Outagamie County is strongest when everyone feels respected, supported, and able to participate in community life. County government should be accessible, welcoming, and thoughtful about how decisions affect people with different experiences and needs.

Here’s How I’d Put This Into Action

  • Considering how decisions affect different communities, not just the majority
  • Making county processes easier to understand and navigate
  • Listening to voices that are often left out of decision-making
  • Supporting a county culture rooted in dignity, respect, and fairness
